Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP)
Alias: pentasodium phosphate
Molecular formula: Na5P3O10
Molecular weight: 367.86 (relative atomic mass estimated in 2007)
Executive standard: GB/T9983-2004 (industrial grade), GB25566-2010 (food grade)
Performance characteristics:
White granular or powdery, apparent density 0.35-0.90g/cm3, melting point 622℃. Easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline, and the pH of 1% aqueous solution is 9.7. It is gradually hydrolyzed into phosphite in water and has a good ability to complex metal ions. It can complex with calcium, magnesium, iron and other metal ions to form soluble complexes. Can soften hard water. As an inorganic surfactant, it has the properties of a certain organic surfactant.
Uses:
Mainly used in synthetic detergents as additives, soap synergists and to prevent the precipitation and blooming of bar soap grease. It has a strong emulsification effect on the fat of lubricating oil. It can be used to adjust the pH value of buffer soap, water softener for industrial water, tanning pre-blending agent, dyeing auxiliary, paint, kaolin, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate and other industries. Used as a dispersant in suspension, as a dispersant in drilling mud, and as an anti-greasy agent in the paper industry.
Packaging and storage:
Plastic woven bags and paper bags, each with a net weight of 25, 50, 1000Kg, stored in a ventilated and dry place.
